Randall Pond is one of those areas that fascinates me. It has a quiet beauty that brings peace to the mind and soul and I never fail to enjoy any of my walks there.
So much so, that I have decided to do a series of photos from this beautiful site. “A Year at Randall Pond” will be exhibited at the Longwood Public Library in November of 2009.
Keep watching as the months unfold. See July’s photos now …
- The Thistle patch is beginning to dry up but the bees and butterflys are still eating.
- The water is evaporating in the mid-summer heat
- It's a nice day to enjoy the quiet sport of fishing
- The reflections in this pond are still amazing
- I think the reflections are what first captivated me.
- These leaves were turned in such a manner that I thought they made an interesting photo
- The mid-summer heat in no way diminishes the beauty of Randall Pond
- I took a similar photo in June and took this one for comparison
- This is a shot of the path that winds around the pond
- Here is a photo from across the pond of the path leading to the water
- This tress is growing in an unusaul pattern
- At the Thistle Patch - now drying up, but still full of small wonders
- This insects blues wings just begged to be photographed
- This was another unusual insect to be captured in a photo
- I find the small insects have a large impact on me
