Well Randall Pond was beautiful this month, as it always has been.
The greens were deeper with summer full upon us and although we have had a fair amount of rain, the pond has really dried out.
This has been the first time that I have been able to walk around the entire pond bank.
My shoes got really muddy and I had to dodge a few trees - but I made it around the entire place.
There are a few of the photos this month that show garbage (a tire, bottles, etc…). One of them I took on purpose in order to make a point. Randall Pond, like many other lakes and ponds across America, is a beautiful nature preserve. Many people go there to enjoy the restful solitude that only a commune with nature can give. I am always so disappointed by the fact that some of those people cannot respect it. While walking along the bank this time, I saw bottles, cans, empty bait buckets, papers, etc … It was awful! It showed a total disrespect of the beauty of the surroundings.
Please. If you go out to enjoy a beautiful area such as Randall Pond - do not litter.
