Well, I am finally getting around to posting my pictures taken at Randall Pond in December. We have had several snowfalls thus far this winter and I was lucky enough to capture Randall Pond during one of those snows in December.
In fact, it was snowing while I was taking these pictures. I traipsed down the trail and in most places was the first to walk ton the snow covered path. It was a cold and wet journey but absolutely beautiful!
Thank goodness for snow boots. With those I was able to trek around most of the circumfirance of the pond - but not all. I thought about daring to go on the frozen parts of the pond - but I was not that brave, lol.
I hope you enjoy these fabulous pictures from Ransall Polnd, Suffolk County, New York.
- Fence line at the beginning of the trailhead
- Ducks enjoying the cold weather.
- One of the fishing docks with pristine snow
- View down the pond
- Another fishing docks. The snow makes such awesome shadows.
- And picture of fishing docks, snow and shadows
- Lines of snow
- Snow and shadows
- The reflections are still evident - even though the pond is partially frozen
- The bridge in the forest
- Another shot of the bridge
- This is where the butterfly pictures were taken last spring.
