Today’s Visions

Photography that captures today’s visions for tomorrow’s memories

Photography

Jonathan at Stony BrookMy biggest Christmas present this year was the arrival of my son to New York.  My son, Jonathan, is a search and rescue medic in the United States Navy and for the past 8 months he has been stationed in Kuwait.

To simply say that I am proud of him would be a major understatement — but I also have been very worried.

I picked him up from the airport right before Christmas and enjoyed a quick two week vacation with him. Read the rest of this entry »

Fence line at the beginning of the trailhead

Well, I am finally getting around to posting my pictures taken at Randall Pond in December.  We have had several snowfalls thus far this winter and I was lucky enough to capture Randall Pond during one of those snows in December.

Children of all ages came to the festival in full costume costume for trick-or-treating, pumpkin painting, hay wagon rides and the petting zoo. As an added treat Leonora Knight dramatized songs that celebrated books using the children as the main performers in her Halloween show.

View of Randall Pond in fall Glory

Everyone who reads my posts knows how much I love Randall Pond with it beautiful water reflections, the great assortment of animals and insects, the beautiful folliage and the peace and serentity that I find there.

My walk through Randall Pond in October was even more breathtaking than usual.  I went on a day that followed several days of rain.  It was windy, cold and overcast.  Truthfully, I set out only because I knew I needed pictures for the month of October - not from any real desire to be out on the nasty day.
