This little gem allows your visitors to sign up for notification when new content has been added to your site.  The best part is, you do nothing once this has been configured for your needs. The email notifications can be sent on a timetable that meets your particular website needs:

  1. Per post.  Best for those website owners who update sporadically.
  2. Monthly.  For those website owners who add a few new articles per month.
  3. Weekly.  For those website owners who add a few new articles per week.
  4. Daily.  For those very ambitious website owners who add new content on a daily basis.

In addition, you can choose which categories you want to send out notifications on so your visitors will only get that information which is really important.

If this wasn’t enough power, the mailing list is fully manageable from the backend and allows you to send out other emails to your visitors.

For as long as I have been working with Wordpress, I have pushed WP-Blog Stats as the visitor statistical plugin of choice.  I was wrong.  There!  I said it – I found a better plugin than the old tried and true.  Blog Stats had an outage with their system that sent me looking and reviewing other plugins dedicated to visitor stats.  What I found was StatPress, a real-time plugin dedicated to the management of statistics about blog visits. It collects information about visitors, spiders, search keywords, feeds, browsers etc.  More information than you ever thought possible.

And there is no delay – as with Blog Stats.  Once the plugin has been activated it immediately starts to collect statistics information. Using StatPress you can spy your visitors while they are surfing your blog or check which are the preferred pages, posts and categories.

The role of websites in today’s businesses is growing with each day: more and more customers search for information about products by browsing the Web, more and more companies create special departments to promote and sell their services in the Internet. By making regular website backups you can always feel safe that its data will not be lost due to competitor’s virus attack, server failure or a natural catastrophe.

This plugin makes backups of all your database files (the database is where all your content is stored) and then emails that backup to you on a weekly basis.  Talk about peace of mind!  Just file your backups in a safe place and never worry about recovering from any type of outage.

11 Steps To Organizing Your EmailI was going through my emails this morning and realized that I have not written to any of my yahoo groups in a while. So, I started wading through my inbox to read all the emails and find ones that I wanted to respond to. What a chore! So many mails!

Suddenly, I realized that I could be organizing them to make life easier. After all, Outlook allows you to setup rules. So, I set up the rules for my three outlook groups and now I can easier browse through all my emails and not miss anything important. Each folder shows the number of unread messages —- very simple!

A lot of Photoshop problems can be fixed by dumping the Preferences file. While launching Photoshop, hold down Alt+Ctrl+Shift on the PC or Cmd+Option+Shift on the Mac. When asked to reset the preferences, choose Yes.

To draw a straight line with any of the brush tools, just click, hold the Shift key, and click again where you want the line to end. Photoshop will draw a straight line between the two points! This trick also works with most tools, including erasers and even the highlight tool in the Extract filter.
