Children Killing Children Update

I wanted to post a very quick update to let everyone know that I have not forgotten about my follow-up.  I have become very entangled with the research.  There are stats on the FBI’s website that I have downloadeded to look at the violent crime trends for children and I have found much interesting reading about violence and the media.

Children Killing Children Part II

An apology to the reader

Last night I got incensed about a movie that was just released.  Okay, if I am going to be totally unbiased, it wasn’t just the movie.  It was the recent school shooting that occurred on February 27th in Chardon, Ohio.  It was the teens who have highlighted the news with scenes of murder.   Hunger Games just happened to be mentioned many times by my Facebook Friends and I allowed my emotions to overtake my good sense by writing Part I of Children Killing Children.

Oh, the pain that I am feeling right now.  It is like negative stuff has filled me up to where now all someone has to do is say ‘boo’ and I start crying.  What is this pain you ask?  What has me so upset that I am writing this piece a day ahead of my schedule at the cost of a “The Write Stuff” blog? Children and teens killing other children, other teens, and adults or just walking into a school shooting anyone in their way while we, as a society, introduce movies like “Hunger Games”.
